Data: (KA520A) The plant looks like a much small H.retusa, but belongs to the subgenus Hexangulares, because of the florets, i.e. six-sided at the base. Retused end-area leaves have raised tubercles and usually few short lines in surface. plants are almost always solitary, and in the wild they are mostly sunken into the ground. In cultivation it belongs to more difficult and slow-growing species. flowering in the summer, propagation by seeds.
