Data:  (KA2140) H. pungens is rather similar to an Astroloba in appearance, and M.B.Bayer suggest that it is new species, because which flower is characteristic of the subgenus Hexangulares. Slowly spiraling leaves are very hard, smooth, and taper to a sharp point. Small rooted offsets from Burk’s plants received from MBB.
